NAME

mservedit - program to update mserv track info

SYNOPSIS

mservedit [-a <author>] [-y <year>] [-n <name>] [-g <genre>] [-f] [-x] <directory>

DESCRIPTION

Use this program to alter or generate the .trk files for an album, note that mserv usually has a 'tracks' directory and a 'trackinfo' directory, so running this on the 'tracks' directory with the mp3s in it will result in it not finding any .trk files - however, you can specify '-x' which will override this so that it sees the mp3 files as potential things to associate .trk files to. This will make it saves these .trk files in the same directory, which is normally not the correct directory because, as pointed out before, tracks and trackinfo files are normally in different directories, so you'll have to move them to the correct place. In summary: don't use '-x' unless you've symlinked the 'tracks' and 'trackinfo' directories together.

This manual page was written for the Debian distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.
