NAME

nws_ping - ping a Network Weather Service sensor

SYNOPSIS

nws_ping [-repeat seconds][-size experiment,buffer,message][-timeout seconds] host [host ...]

DESCRIPTION

This manual page explains the nws_ping program. The nws_ping is part of the Network Weather Service and is used to ping a possibly remote NWS nws_sensor(1). The size of the experiment to conduct can be varied from the command line: the default may be small for fast network.

OPTIONS

-repeat seconds
repeat the experiment continously every seconds seconds.

-size experiment,buffer,message

conduct this experiments using a total of experiment bytes, with a TCP buffer size of buffer and a message of message bytes. The default is 64,16,32.
