이 문서는 리눅스/i386 커널의 ioctl 함수 목록으로, ioctl 1.3.27 목록이다. 이 버전에는 421개의 ioctl 함수가 포함되어 있으며, /usr/include/{asm,linux}/*.h에 정의되어 있다. 각각의 ioctl에 대해 그 숫자값, 이름, 인자 타입을 나열한다.

인자 타입이 'const struct foo *'라는 것은 커널의 입력으로 인자를 사용한다는 의미이고, 'struct foo *'라는 것은 커널에서의 출력이라는 것을 의미한다. 만약 커널이 입력과 출력을 동시에 사용하면 여기서는 // I-O 라고 표기한다.

어떤 ioctl은 하나 이상의 구조체를 인자나 리턴값으로 취하는데 이는 // MORE 라고 표시되며 독립된 섹션에서 다시 자세하게 설명된다.

 이 ioctl 목록은 완전하지 못하다. 즉, 다음과 같은 것은 포함되어 있지 않다:
 
     -- 커널 내부에 정의된 ioctl ('scsi_ioctl.h').
     -- 커널과는 따로 배포되는 모듈에 정의된 ioctl
 
 그리고 물론 실수와 누락이 있을지 모른다.

 어떤 ioctl은 추가적인 포인터를 멤버로 가지는 구조체 포인터를 인자로 취한다. 
 이 문서는 알파벳순으로 기술되어 있다.
 
 CDROMREADAUDIO는 입력 포인터로 'const struct cdrom_read_audio *'를
 취한다. 'buf' 필드는 출력 버퍼 'nframes * CD_FRAMESIZE_RAW'의 길이를 
 가지는 포인터를 취한다.
 
 CDROMREADCOOKED, CDROMREADMODE1, CDROMREADMODE2 그리고
 CDROMREADRAW는 입력 포인터로 'const struct cdrom_msf *'를
 취하고 이 포인터 타입을 출력 버퍼로는 'char []'처럼 사용한다.
 길이는 요구에 따라 다양하다. CDROMREADMODE1의 경우, 대부분의
 드라이버가 'CD_FRAMESIZE'를 사용하지만 광학 저장 드라이버에는
 [ T_BLOCKSIZE'을 사용한다. (둘다 수치적으로는 2048이다.) ]

 FDRAWCMD는 'struct floppy raw_cmd *'를 취한다. 만약 'flags & FD_RAW_WRITE'가 
 0이 아니면 'data' 입력 버퍼를, 'length'는 입력 버퍼의 길이를 나타낸다.
 
 GIO_FONTX와 PIO_FONTX는 각각 'struct console_font_desc *' 또는 
 GIO_FONTX 경우에는 출력 버퍼가, PIO_FONTX 의 경우에는 입력 버퍼가 된다.
 
 GIO_UNIMAP 와 PIO_UNIMAP는 각각 'struct unimapdesc *' 또는
 이는 GIO_UNIMAP에는 출력 버퍼가, PIO_UNIMAP에는 입력 버퍼가 된다.
 
 KDADDIO, KDDELIO, KDDISABIO 그리고 KDENABIO는 I/O 포트에 제어가
 가능하게 하거나 불가능하게 한다. 이들은 원래 'ioperm'에 대한 대안책이다.
 
 KDMAPDISP와 KDUNMAPDISP는 I/O 포트에 대한 제어 또는 메모리 맵핑을 가능하게 
 하거나 불가능하게 한다. 이는 커널에 구현되어 있지 않다.
 
 SCSI_IOCTL_PROBE_HOST은 길이를 나타내는 'const int *'를 입력 포인터로 취한다. 
 그리고 같은 타입 포인터가 출력 포인터에서는 'char []' 타입의 버퍼 길이를 
 나타내는데 사용한다.
 
 SIOCADDRT와 SIOCDELRT는 프로토콜에 따라 입력 포인터가 결정된다:

 SIOCGIFCONF는 'struct ifconf *'을 취한다. 'ifc_buf' 필드는 바이트 단위 길이

 SIOCSIFHWADDR은 프로토콜에 따라 입력 포인터가 결정된다:

 TIOCLINUX은 'const char *'을 취한다. 이것은 여러가지 독립적인 세부적인 경우를
