SYNOPSYS

PARAMETERS

pt1
Pointer to a chain_list
pt2
Pointer to a chain_list

DESCRIPTION

append appends the contains of the chain_list pointed to by pt2 at the end of the one pointed to by pt1.
The lists consistency is warranted by the use of the adequat add functions.  

RETURN VALUE

append returns a pointer to the new head of list. If pt1 is not NULL, it has the value of pt1, else it is pt2.

EXAMPLE

 void sig_names(s0, s1)
 losig_list *s0, *s1;
 {
    s0->NAMECHAIN = append(s0->NAMECHAIN, s1->NAMECHAIN);
