DESCRIPTION

Search a directory tree (asynchronous operation).

PARAMS

ld [In] Pointer to an LDAP context.

base [In] Starting point for the search.

scope [In] Search scope. One of LDAP_SCOPE_BASE, LDAP_SCOPE_ONELEVEL and LDAP_SCOPE_SUBTREE.

filter [In] Search filter.

attrs [In] Attributes to return.

attrsonly [In] Return no values, only attributes.

serverctrls [In] Array of LDAP server controls.

clientctrls [In] Array of LDAP client controls.

timelimit [In] Timeout in seconds.

sizelimit [In] Maximum number of entries to return. Zero means unlimited.

message [Out] Message Id of the search operation.

RETURNS

Success: LDAP_SUCCESS

Failure: An LDAP error code.

NOTES

Call ldap_result with the message Id to get the result of the operation. Cancel the operation by calling ldap_abandon with the message ID.
