gimv --- program to view Image filesSYNOPSIS
gimv [OPTIONS...] [Image Files...]
DESCRIPTION
This manual page was written for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.
gimv is a image viewer using GTK+. It has many useful features.

- Tabbed thumbnail viewer for directories.

- Low memory use.

- Image file management tool.

- Slide show.

- read/write many image cache formats of thumbnail. read: Konqueror, GQview, Electric Eyes (Picview) write: Nautilus, .xvpics

- Supported image formats are: JPEG, PNG, PNM, GIF, TIFF, XBM, XPM, XWD, BMP and PCX.

- Drag and Drop. You can drop image into like a Gimp from GImageView window.
OPTIONS
These programs follow the usual GNU command line syntax, with long options starting with two dashes (`-'). A summary of options is included below.
- -h --help
- Show summary of options.
- -v --version
- Show version of program.
- -d --directory
- Scan directory at start up
- -R --recursive
- Scan directory recursively (use with "-d")
- -D --scan-dot
- Read dotfile when scanning directory (use with "-d")
- -e --ignore-ext
- Ignore file name extension
- -s --scale=SCALE
- Specify image scale in imageview window(%)
- -b --buffer=ON/OFF
- Keep original image on memory or not
- -M --menubar
- Show menu bar on image view window
- -T --toolbar
- Show tool bar on image view window
- -w --thumbwin
- Open thumbnail window at start up
- -i --imageview
- Open all images in imageview widnow
- -t --thumbview
- Open all images in thumbnail widnow
- -S --slideshow
- Open images files in slide show(ignore directory)
