NAME

Gnofin - a personal finance application for GNOME

SYNOPSIS

gnofin [--help] [--usage] [-V] [--display=DISPLAY] [--no-xshm] [--gtk-module=MODULE] [accountsfile]

DESCRIPTION

Gnofin is a simple checkbook application for Linux (and other UNIX variants). Gnofin aims to provide a convenient way to keep track of your checking and savings accounts (or any other monetary-type accounts). It is designed to be light-weight, fast, and extremely easy to use.

You will hardly need any of the options below as it is an interactive program. The only thing of interest is probably the accountsfile parameter.

OPTIONS

Gnofin accepts the following options:
accountsfile
This file will be opened automatically after starting up Gnofin.
--help
Display a list of all commandline options.
--usage
Show a terse usage summary.
-V
Output the version info.
--display display
Use the designated X display.
--no-xshm
Do not use the X Shared Memory extension. You should not normally need this option. It will result in slower performance than with X shared memory enabled. On the other hand some servers have buggy XSHM implementations. If starting Gnofin crashes your X server you should try this option.

ENVIRONMENT

DISPLAY
Describes the X display to use if no --display option is given.
Gnofin was released under the GPL. On Debian systems you can find the full license at /usr/doc/copyright/GPL.

AUTHOR

Gnofin was written by Darin Fisher <darinf@users.sourceforge.net>. This manpage was written by Torsten Landschoff <torsten@debian.org> for the Debian distribution.
