NAME

amlabel-cdrw --- a hacked-up replacement for amlabel to label CD-RWs intended for use with cdrw-taper

SYNOPSIS

amlabel-cdrw [-f] [--no-tapelist-entry] [conf] [label]

DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents briefly the amlabel-cdrw command.

This manual page was written for the Debian distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.

All AMANDA tapes must be pre-labeled before they are used. AMANDA verifies the label in amdump and amflush before writing to make sure the proper tape is loaded.

amlabel-cdrw is a replacement for amlabel to label CD-RWs intended for use with cdrw-taper.

OPTIONS

This program follows the usual GNU command line syntax, with long options starting with two dashes (`-'). A summary of options is included below.

-f
Force write. Don't check if an empty or unused disk is in the drive or if the given label is not on an active amanda disk.
--no-tapelist-entry
Don't append the new entry to the media list.
