NAME

ne2k-diag - Diagnostic program for NE2000 ethernet cards.

SYNOPSIS

ne2k-diag [options]

DESCRIPTION

ne2k-diag is used to diagnose detection ("probe") problems with NE1000 and NE2000 work-alike cards. The probe routine is very similar to that used in the Linux NE2000 driver, and should work with any NE2000 clone.

OPTIONS

These programs follow the usual GNU command line syntax, with long options starting with two dashes (`-'). A summary of options is included below.
-h, --help
Show summary of options.
-V, --version
Show version of program.
-v, --verbose
Verbose mode.
-D
Debug mode.
-a, --show-registers
show chip status (use -aa for even more)
-e, --show-eeprom
Dump EEPROM contents to stdout. (use -ee for even more)
-F, -X, --interface
Valid values are 0-3.
-p, --base-address <port>
Specify port to use.
-P, --new-address <address>
Set card to a new hardware address.
-Q, --new-irq <irq>
Set card to a new irq. Valid values are 2-5,7,9-15
-w
Really write to EEPROM.
